DIFFICULTY DESCRIPTION

This new path is titled “Via ferrata Maria and Andrea Ferrari” and allows you to climb on Ra Bujèla thanks to the help of steel ropes, two walkways and some pegs that facilitate the ascent in the most steep points.

ASCENT DESCRIPTION

The first part of the route is certainly the most challenging and lends some very exposed parts, on excellent rock. Once reached the first bridge, the difficulties are lowered and once reached the second walkway the path runs through the ridge, on broken rocks: the poor quality of the rock in this section does not prejudice  in any way the safety of the ascent, and it is just along this stretch that you can enjoy the magnificent panorama that  the Dolomites always give us. A few meters from the top, there is a fork of the cable, climb to the right to the top; on the left instead you will start the descent.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED

Alpine Guide’s advice

“It is one of the first via ferrata that is free from the snow in spring. During times when the lifts are not yet open, it is convenient to access from the road that climbs to the Dibona refuge. If you want to take a ride a little longer, instead of going back to the “Camosci” trail, continue along the Astaldi trail and head back through the Dibona refuge..”   Ivana De Zanna
